Attix 12

The Attix 12 (12 gallon canister - this model is sold as the Attix 5 in Europe) is recommended for workshop use (home or business) or larger clean-ups in the field.

There are 6 variations of the Attix 12 available through Ultimate Garage. The Basic, the RDF and the HEPA-Plus use a 1000w motor. These machines have an operating noise level of 58-60db and pull 93-95" lift through the manometer. The RDFD, RDFD-DT (combination drum-top & canister model) and the AS/PE use a slightly more powerful 1200w motors, run a little noisier at 60-62db and manage to pull a bit more lift at 95-98".

All of the Attix 12 models are rated as 15a/120v and share the following basic specifications.......

Attix 12 Basic & HEPA

The Attix 12 Basic and HEPA models share the same features and standard accessories. The Basic model filters to 1 micron, the HEPA unit to 0.3 microns. These models do not have AutoStart or Speed Control and come with a less expensive (plastic body-11" wide) Combination Floor tool. For a slightly higher cost, I would recommend the Attix 12 RDF model which includes AutoStart (with a 600w rated plug tap), SoftStart controls (to minimize current surge on startup), Speed Control (in both manual and auto modes) and the rental duty metal floor tool (with replaceable brush...not the same nozzle included with the RDFL kits). HEPA filter elements are available as an option for the Basic & RDF models if you require this level of filtration. The optional plastic coated filter liner is recommended for jobs where the standard filter bag cannot be used (ie, moist/wet debris pickup).

 

Attix 12 Xtreme Clean vacuums

The Attix 12 XC models are intended for heavy duty commercial (ie, rental industry), industrial (plant, paint refinishing & restoration, etc) and contractor cleanup. The XC ("Xtreme Clean) Filter Cleaning system consists of an oversized filter element divided into two chambers by means of a pair of side seals on the filter holder. The vacuum sucks in dirt through one side while the other side is blasted with air from the inside-out. This dislodges the dirt trapped in the filter pleats.

The X-flap (that I have my hands on in the photo) directs this air stream for the cleaning and is activated by a pair of solenoid valves. The X-flap cycles (audibly) upon start-up and every 30 seconds as the cleaning is redirected from one side to the other. This is the only shop vac that I know of that can function effectively without a filter bag. This allows you to work without interruptions to clean the filter and you're now able to use the full capacity of the canister (approx 9 1/2 gallons with filter displacement)....great for woodworkers, drywallers, and others with large volume cleanups. (Note- for extensive fine dust extraction, especially with moisture, one should consider using the optional plastic filter liner.)

All XC models include SoftStart switching (limits amperage at startup), AutoStart with adjustable Speed Control, and a 500w Plug Tap on the head assembly.

 

Attix 12 RDFD XC - if Lexus built a shop vacuum, this would be it. Great performance (95-98" of lift), quiet running (60-62db), in an understated blue poly chassis. Handles well around the shop....lightweight, ergonomic design with large wheels and casters. Low maintenance (with the XC Filter Cleaning system)....turn the key and forget it. In my opinion, this is best all-around shop vac on the market today. This model comes with a standard 1 1/2" x 10' oil resistant hose, 2pc chromed extension tubes, and a heavy duty floor nozzle.

 

Attix 12 AS/PE XC - great machine for AutoBody shops (automotive, truck or marine restoration and refinishing). This model includes a dual Pneumatic/Electric AutoStart feature and a 1 1/4" x 16' Coaxial Anti-Static hose. This combination air supply/dust extraction hose allows a tangle free (no more twisted hoses) conduit between the air tool and the shop vac. Remote autostart is possible with both pneumatic and electric tools.

Attix 12 AS/PE XC

The 1 1/4" x 16' long Coaxial Anti-Static hose can be connected to the dust port on an electric sander, the sander plugged into the vacuum, and the AS/E's Auto-Start feature will remotely turn on the vacuum by activating the power tool. The suction of the vac can be regulated though the Speed Control switch.

Attix 12 AS/PE XC - pneumatic connections & Speed Control

Attix 12 RDFD-DT - combination drum-top (for use with customer's 55 gallon drum) and canister unit with the same head assembly as the RDFD machine. Same performance and accessories as the RDFD model with the capability to handle large clean-ups in production environments.
