2-stage safety coupler (with male/female plugs) - ARO 210 Profile
(1/4" Body, 3/8" Male) - Recommended for use at the wall drops in a
plumbed air distribution system (or as the main connection point
on a portable compressor). The first push of the button on the
side of the coupler bleeds the air from the load (the hose and
air tool). The second push releases the hose from the coupler.
This style safety coupler was replaced by the new ASI series.

The ARO-210 is a popular
Automotive profile, especially on the East Coast. Truflate seems
to be a bit more popular on the West Coast. ARO-210 Prevost
couplers have a "yellow" button.

There is some minor cosmetic pitting of the metal base of the coupler....this
has absolutely no effect on operation or performance.
Note on Thread Size -
Thread Size (NPT) does NOT refer to the physical dimension of the
pipe or fitting. This 3/8" NPT male thread measures
.675" OD.
