Most homeowner and dry-use only applications will work fine with the less expensive Standard Paper Element. If you require Hepa level filtration (ie, to .3 microns), go with the Hepa Element. (Note - I'll soon be eliminating the Heavy Duty K&N filter from the online store as the PET-Fleece element is just as effective and does not require special filter oil.)
