For Attix 8 and Attix 30/50 models - Plastic Coated filter liner offers an additional stage of filtration when bags cannot be used (eg, wet/moist or large/sharp debris pickup). It also protects the filter element.

Debris hits the liner and falls to the bottom of the canister. Plastic surface coating cleans up easily.
