Gedore 12pc Angle Socket Wrench Set (1527312) - box set. Sizes include 8-9-10-11-12-13-14-15-16-17-18-19mm. The wrench has a "through-hole" design (ie, deep socket recess) that accommodates threaded rod or bar for extra leverage without affecting the wrench strength. Great for spinning on fasteners (eg, lug bolts and nuts, studs, etc) before using a torque wrench.
I brought of few of these Gedore sets in for review as the Facom 75 series wrenches are now made in China and subject to high tariffs. Many Gedore tools are made in Germany although these 25PK "double ended socket wrenches" are made in India. The length of the Facom and Gedore wrenches are very close. The "angle" part of the Gedore wrench is slightly longer than the Facom version. The Gedore wrenches will fit in the Facom foam storage tray although they must be placed on an angle (see photo).
Quality and finish appear to be very close (no overall advantage to either manufacturer). Both area a satin finish, not the bright chrome that is shown in some of the product catalogs (see my comparison photos). Facom or Gedore??? It's a price and brand loyalty decision for the customer.
Note, if you want the foam tray, order part number PM.MOD75. This is a stock item. The tray has a spot for the 7mm size which does not come with the 12pc set.
